Bletchley Park
Bletchley Park is a historic site where secret British code breaking activities were carried out during World War 2 (Enigma code-breaking machines were used) it was also the birthplace of the modern computer.
The code breaking activities employed one of the worlds first computers called ‘Colossus’ it was a valve driven code breaking machine – Colossus is under restoration at the moment, they have much of it working but it is very complex having several hundred valves and a never ending amount of wires.
